Location Shoots
The Clubhouse is a unique location for movies, television shows, commercial and photo shoots. Our building offers authentic elegance with hand-carved wooden doors, wood-burning fireplaces, decorative marble floors, ornate iron railings and distinguished paintings and murals.
The Down Town Association has been transformed into a backdrop for the perfect setting numerous times for different movies. The Inside Man, The Associate and A Perfect Murder are a few of the blockbusters that have been filmed at our Clubhouse.
In addition to movies, the DTA has been the ideal location for many television show shoots, most recently including the FX hit show Damages with Glenn Close and Rose Byrne, where during one scene our 1st floor ladies’ lounge was turned into a hotel suite with a fireplace.
Dramas such as Law & Order, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, NYPD Blue and the Practice have landscaped our rooms to fit their specific settings during drug busts, bar scenes, cop chases and more.
BBC documentaries and private companies have used our various sitting rooms, including the Reading Room, for scenes such as interviews, talk shows and reporter stages.
The Clubhouse is a discrete and distinctive location for photo shoots. Memorable shoots include Aaron Eckhart smoking in our antique phone booths for the movie Thank you for Smoking, Brooks Brothers Fall 2008 catalogues, Victoria’s Secret and Saks 5th Avenue.
