The Reading Room is one of the finest grand rooms of New York. Designed in the Jacobean style as part of the 1911 expansion, it recalls the drawing room of an English country home. The room, paneled in oak has a superb quatrefoil ceiling and a great fireplace as a centerpiece. The Reading Room houses a collection of prints which highlight New York City and Brooklyn in the early 1800s.
