Aaron Pennington Whitehead (1840-1920) was our only president to serve non-consecutive terms, 1903-1907 and 1912-1920 and Vice President 1898-1900. Elected a trustee in 1886 he was a lawyer and known as a gentleman ‘of the old school’. He was a director of the Imperial Assurance Company and argued at least one case in front of the Supreme Court.
